We are a partnership of thirteen organizations working together to prevent the spread of HIV ( Human Immunodeficiency Virus ) and other sexually transmitted infections ( STI ) in Nassau County. RPSSI Nassau partner organizations provide the following categories of services.

Support Services Navigation and
PrEP Education and Adherence Support:

Navigators work closely with clients over a period of three months to a year helping them achieve their healthcare goals through the following specific services:

There are no income limits to receive services through the RPSSI Nassau Program. Immigration status is not asked (see About Us section for specific eligibility criteria). All services under the Program are provided with no cost to the client. Our goal is to help clients regain their health and stay healthy by addressing any obstacles that interfere with their ability to seek proper medical care or follow their clinician’s advice.

RPSSI Nassau Partner Organizations providing Support Services Navigation and PrEP Education and Adherence Support

Testing for HIV & Other Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)

Testing is available for HIV, Hepatitis C Virus (HCV), Syphilis, Gonorrhea and Chlamydia.

Evidence Based Interventions (EBIs)

EBIs are programs which have been formally studied and proven to help clients improve their knowledge and/or skills in maintaining sexual health.

Syringe Exchange

Syringes and overdose prevention education is provided to active injection drug users.

Referral Partners

Provides HIV & STI treatment and prevention services including PrEP.

Social Media Campaigns

The RPSSI Program sponsors a series of sexual health education and program services promotion campaigns on several social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Grindr, etc. The Partner organizations supporting the development, launch and monitoring of the campaigns are :
